It has been a busy few months getting pieces together for two exhibitions, one for the RDS National Craft Competition and the Feltmakers Ireland exhibition in the Botanic Gardens.

Both pieces are a format that I have been thinking about for a while, but nothing like a submissions deadline to force the move from idea to reality.
The concept is to break an image into a series of components sections, separated by space to allow light to pass through and create shadows, which will give depth to the piece.
That was the theory, realising it was a challenge. Having made the felt picture, question arose, like: How many cuts and where?; How do I mount it onto the netting?; Will it work?
